Cup11: UID in India and Windows Mobile 7 seems to be fun

with 8 comments

This saturday noon myself and Veetrag got a chance to record the 11 episode of 1by2coffee. We had great time talking about travel plans, Windows mobile 7 and all Indian UID.

It seems like our trouble in recording has not ended yet. Phone didn’t record for a while in between, so you might find a disconnect in between. We will improve in coming episodes.

  4. Also @kv ‘s voice is not clear in the podcast. May be you can amplify kv’s voice using a speaker and then record.

  7. Thej,

I enjoyed listening to this conversation about UID.
I have a SSN in US and that holds the key to all the transactions I do. UID is taking pretty much the same concept which is a good thing.

But given the population in India, amount of data to be loaded & to reach out to the remote villages in India to collect information is a big challenge.

For sure this is going to take about 3-5 years from today for it to be completely functional.

    Thanks.
My guess is that it will take 10 years to become really useful.
