  1. [...] Go ahead listen to the show and let me know Cup8: Indian comics, graphic novels and more [...]

  2. A nice discussion! I love reading comics. From childhood , I would just keep crying and not talking to anyone until they buy me some new comics which I would finish the same day. I loved Archies, Champak , ChandaMama. I still am following all Nagraj , Dhruv and Bankelal comics. I still love reading it.

While I was a child, i would go to libraries for reading Chandamama, champak etc. We would exchange comics with friends , would rent out comics at Re 1 , Rs 2 each for a day .

Chacha Chaudhry , Pinki , Billu ……. are best characters created by Pran for Diamond comics.

Nice Podcast! Good to know that there are some guys who still love comics.

    Waiting for more Thej !

  5. You guys forgot this – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ramayan_3392_A.D.

This is probably where the Indian comics should head, combining west-versioned-science fiction with the Indian mythology

Chacha Chaudhary & diamond comics are for kids, most of them have the sense of good-habits and teachings oriented stories :)

  6. Ravi, there wasnt enough time to discuss all comics and we wanted to talk about comics which are available in Indian bookshops! Yes Ramayan 3392 is amazing!!, but it seems more for the West than for our kids/teens. Wat say?
